Setting Your PIN and Biometrics on Your Multi-Pass Card

Info
In this document, you will learn how to set your PIN and Biometrics on your Multi-Pass Card. This is required in order to start using your card. Once this setup is complete, you can link your card to your Multi-Pass Account by following the steps in this article.
Warning
For this process, you will need:
- Your biometric card
- A Windows device
- An NFC reader (either embedded in your laptop or external)
Depending on your NFC reader model, it may help to hold the card in place with your other hand throughout the onboarding process. This prevents the card from shifting and losing communication with the reader.

Step 1 – Add Your PIN

  1. In Windows, navigate to Start, click on Settings
  2. Select Accounts.
  3. On the Accounts page, go to Sign-in Options

  1. Security Key click on Manage.

  1. Place your card on the NFC reader (or insert it if applicable).
  2. Under Security Key PIN, select Add.

  1. Enter your new PIN and click OK.

Step 2 – Enroll Your Fingerprint Biometrics

  1. Under Security Key Fingerprint
  1. Click on Set up and enter your PIN.
  2. While continuously keeping your card on the NFC reader, tap your finger on the biometric sensor on your card and follow the on-screen instructions.
  1. Repeat the process until you see a confirmation that enrollment is complete.
Notes
we strongly suggest you use your thumb if possible
