Importing Passwords from Chrome into Your Vault

This guide explains how to export your saved passwords from Google Chrome and import them into your Vault.

Step 1 – Export Your Passwords from Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome.
   
2. In the address bar, go to chrome://settings/passwords.
   
3. Alternatively, click the three dots (⋮) → Settings → Autofill and Passwords.
   
4. On the left side, click Settings.
   
5. Find Export passwords and click Download file.
   
6. Enter your computer password (Windows or macOS login).
   
7. Chrome will generate a .csv file (e.g., Passwords.csv).
   
8. You can also do it manually by using the .csv (at the bottom of the page)

Step 2 – Verify the File Format

1. Open the downloaded file.
   
2. Make sure the file extension is .csv or .json.
   
3. Confirm the structure matches:
1. name / url / username / password / note
4. If needed, adjust the structure before importing.
   

Step 3 – Import Your Passwords into Your Vault

1. Open the Portal
2. Click on Application.

1. Unlock your vault (authenticate yourself).

1. In the left menu, click Password.

1. Click Import Password.
2. In the browser list, select Chrome.
   

1. Click the blue icon to upload your file.
   

1. Choose the exported .csv or .json file.
   
2. Click Import file.

1. Your saved passwords will appear in the vault.
   

To edit or delete a password, click the three dots (⋮) on the right of an entry.

After editing, click Save.
